What is the maximum weight for packages?

Packages can be up to 15 kg in weight. The items should be well-packaged to fit properly on a motorcycle. This offers safe handling during transportation.

Do SafeBoda riders access the CBD?

Package Delivery Process

How does SafeBoda's package delivery service work?

Simply Download the SafeBoda App and register, go to "Deliver Package", enter pick-up and drop-off locations, select your delivery recipient and delivery details, confirm your request, and a nearby rider will be allocated.

Do you have Courier Boxes?

What happens if the recipient is not available?

If the recipient cannot be reached at the delivery address, our rider will contact the sender or SafeBoda for further instructions. Additional charges for re-delivery will be clearly communicated upfront. However, the package can also be delivered to SafeBoda office for your collection.

How do I track my package?

You can monitor your package in real-time via the SafeBoda app, which provides live tracking updates from pick-up to delivery.

How are delivery fees calculated?

We charge based on time and distance covered with a minimum fare of Kes 110 covering the initial two Kilometers. Neither the size nor the weight of the package affects the cost. For deliveries made with several stops, there is an extra charge of Kes 20 incurred on each new stop. Our charges are completely transparent; the fare shown in the app is the final fare, making SafeBoda the most affordable package delivery service in Nairobi.

Do drivers negotiate fares?

No. All our drivers undergo rigorous customer service training and are under a strict code of conduct not to negotiate fares. This ensures world-class service and consistency for our business partners.

Business Delivery Solutions and Bulk Deliveries

How can my business utilize SafeBoda's bulk delivery service?

With a maximum of 5 deliveries in one trip, SafeBoda offers great savings. For example, a 5-stop trip of 10 kms costs 52% less than 5 individual trips covering the same total distance. What payment methods are accepted for package delivery?

We accept credit/debit cards, and cash on delivery (COD). In addition, our SafeBoda Wallet offers ZERO cost deposits and transaction fees on all "send package" payments. Riders receive payment automatically on successful delivery, so it is seamless and hassle-free. We are working on adding M-Pesa as a payment method for deliveries but in the meantime, MPesa payment can be made directly to the driver by selecting "Cash on Delivery" at the point of ordering.

Do you offer scheduled deliveries for businesses?

Yes, we provide pre-arranged drivers for your scheduled delivery services so that you can book delivery pick-ups or drop-offs at a time convenient to you. This is best for managing regular shipments and getting your products to customers in good time.

What if my business needs more than a single trip or dedicated drivers?

For high-volume requirements, SafeBoda offers the flexibility of multiple trips per day. We also offer arrangements for committed drivers; your "Pair" feature enables you to choose your preferred rider or be assigned a driver who becomes part of your success story.
